Going Deep Before Going Far (Discipleship part 2)
Growing Deep Before Going Far
There is a difference between growing bigger and growing deeper. Many people want influence, ministry, promotion, and impact, but God first desires to establish deep roots in Him.
A tree does not survive storms because of what people see above the ground. It survives because of what has been developed beneath the surface. In the same way, our public victories are sustained by our private walk with God.
The Kingdom of God is not built on shallow believers but on rooted disciples. Before God entrusts us with greater responsibility, He develops our character, strengthens our faith, and anchors us in His Word.
This lesson is about allowing God to deepen our relationship with Him so that our lives produce lasting fruit. We are not chasing titles, platforms, or recognition—we are pursuing Christ. As we grow deep in Him, everything He has called us to do will flow from a healthy spiritual foundation.
Key Thought:
The depth of your roots determines the height of your influence.
